Experimenting with Photoshop brushes


I’m quite pleased with the reworked version of this vector illustration I did a while ago in Adobe Illustrator – without much texture it felt quite boring – now, playing around with Photoshop brushes I feel it’s a much more interesting images, with lots more detail and color variations.

I’ve used some brushed that can be downloaded for free from missprinted type – a great resource for grunge-y free brushes and fonts, as well as created lots of my own brushes – it is a quicker way than working with layer and I will definitely be using more of those in the future! I might finally finish off all of those half-finished illustrations and drawings…
